"Digital Reality", individual exhibition of digital images by María Eugenia Espejo, Manager of Violet Lounge Art, recently closed with great success. The sample exhibited photographies, mixed categories and graphic designs, and took place from December 2006 to January 2007 at the Casino of Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain.

It represented the first exhibition of digital images carried out at the prestigious Hall of the Casino of Tenerife, being the last one of the year 2006. According to declarations by María Eugenia Espejo "the reception has been magnificent, the critics excellent, and exhibiting at the Casino has resulted, according to predictions, being an authentic pleasure". On the other hand, the Canarian artist likewise stated that "it is a honour being able to contribute to the diffusion of Art expressed within the 'Digital Reality' that we live in."

In words of the well-known art critic Joaquín Castro, the founder of the artistic project Violet Lounge "has studied to the limit, one of many examples, the orchids or the sunset" in her snapshots.  During the presentation of the exhibition project on the past december 18, the renowned critic expressed also that "María Eugenia dominates the techniques" and in this sample she "unites the science, botany and art", controlling the environment, depths of field, and lighting.

María Eugenia was educated at the German School of Tenerife, where she attained both the German and the Spanish university access degrees. Once she finished her Music studies at the Superior Conservatory of Tenerife's main city, María Eugenia travelled to Great Britain, where she graduated with Honours in Business Administration, attaining later on, after finishing her postgraduate studies, the Master degree in Public Relations. After her return to the Canary Islands eight years later on, she took Arts studies at the University of La Laguna, in Tenerife.

Having completed her period of academic education and training, she has co-operated with a number of privat entities, exhibiting and carrying out decoration projects. She currently combines her artistic and managerial work for the Portal Violet Lounge Art with decoration consultancy services to individuals and companies.
