Surfing is one of the most appreciated water sports that is practised in numerous places of the Canary Islands, where the sea conditions are optimal. Surf or surfing consists in sliding on waves standing on a surfboard, directing it thanks to several keels. There are proofs of the existence of surfing for more than 5000 years back in the Islands of Polinesia. In the photography we see a surfer practising this sport with a wetsuit, also known as Wettie, of full coverage, in blue waters. Wetsuits are made of synthetic rubber, and permit to maintain a pleasant level of temperature for the body, isolating from the cold, and thus permitting to remain in the water for long periods of time.
